Training Services

Introduction

Training support services have been provided for over a decade to financial services companies and training providers. We are seasoned in dealing with SETA based programmes, material and assessments as well as in-house and non-aligned programmes. Our focus areas are financial services and foundational skills.

Training services include:

Facilitation, training and lectures

Facilitation services include classroom or video training, tutorials, scheduling and formulating study plans and preparation of presentations. We have experience in the following:

  • Learnership training for INSETA aligned qualifications from NQF level 3 to 6 - qualifications include Wealth Management, Short-term Insurance, Long-term Insurance and Claims Assessing.
  • Financial planning training on topics relevant to Financial Planning Qualifications at NQF levels 5 and 6, e.g. income tax, financial planning legal environment, personal and corporate financial planning, employee benefits, case studies.
  • Regulatory exams for representatives and key individuals - we've helped thousands of representatives and key individuals through the exams! Extensive services offered including formulating in-house regulatory exam training solutions, creation of mock exams and delivery of training on your or our own regulatory training programme.
  • Skills programmes – shorter programmes across all levels are accommodated. These are often courses extracted from full SETA based qualifications or non-aligned courses that support training and development needs, e.g. practical financial planning training.
  • Life skills/foundational skills training – we recognise that facilitation on work readiness and other soft skills topics is different to facilitating academic subjects. Classes are more interactive and we focus on creating an opportunity for the student to internalise learning. Applied Learning Academy offers foundational courses but facilitation can be arranged for your own programmes as needed. Subjects include managing own finances, time management, diversity, conflict management, basic health and safety, building relationships in the workplace, professional work behaviour, customer service and presentation skills.

Authoring and development of material and/or assessments

Authoring and development of training material, assessments and associated documents such as presentations and facilitator guides are undertaken. All development work is personalised and customised in terms of your preferred content, style and approach and is guaranteed to be 100% original, or correctly referenced, where applicable.

Development of new material/assessments as well as updating of current material/assessments is offered for SETA and non SETA based programmes and courses.

We commit to robust processes and research to ensure that material is accurate and up to date in terms of laws and regulations impacting on each particular topic. Contracted development work becomes the sole property of the client.

Experienced and qualified/accredited moderators are appointed to conduct moderation and complete the required documentation as well as to provide guidance on strengthening a programme, and identifying vulnerable areas and/or development areas.
